Subscription plans and features
What Starter, Growth and Scale include, which features need a higher plan, and what to expect when you change plans.
ServEase has three plans: Starter, Growth and Scale. Each plan includes everything in the plan before it. This page is an index: it tells you which plan a feature belongs to and links to the guide that explains how to use it. For prices, trials and billing, see Billing and pricing.
Starter is a complete booking product, not a demo. Growth adds tools for promotions, advanced pricing, reporting and branding. Scale adds API access, integrations for developers, and priority support.
Plans at a glance
An entry marked Included is available on that plan. A dash (—) means the feature needs a higher plan.

Included in every plan
These features are part of Starter, so you have them on Growth and Scale too.

- Customer management — customer records, profiles and balances. See the Customers page.
- Payments — payment gateways, payment terms and customer payment methods. See Payment settings.
- Standard Service pricing — fixed prices for your Services. See Service options and pricing models.
- System emails and templates — the booking emails ServEase sends for you. See System emails.
- Discount codes — promo codes that customers enter at checkout. See Discount codes.
- Calendar integrations — sync bookings with Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook. See Calendar integrations.
- Dashboard — your at-a-glance view of the business. See Dashboard.
- Basic Reporting — Bookings Summary, Transactions Summary and Customers Summary. See Reports overview.
- Customer portal — where your customers book and manage their bookings. See Customer portal.
Growth and above
These features need the Growth plan or Scale.
- Promotions — special (circumstance) discounts, multi-booking discounts, encouragement discounts and introductory offers. See Discounts and promotions.
- Tiered and Quotation Service pricing — advanced ways to price a Service. See Service options and pricing models.
- Questionnaires and Skills — forms around a booking and a skills library for your team. See Questionnaires and skills.
- Service Vouchers — vouchers you issue to customers that can cover an eligible service booking. See Service Vouchers.
- Accounting integrations — connect an invoicing provider. See Accounting integrations.
- Advanced Reporting — the detailed report library. See Reports overview.
- Branding and customisation — email branding and your own frontend theme. See Email branding.
Scale only
These features need the Scale plan.
- API and Webhooks — API keys and webhooks, found under Settings → API & Webhooks.
- Zapier — connect ServEase to Zapier from the same settings area. Zapier is part of the API and Webhooks capability, not a separate add-on.
- Priority support — a faster service level from ServEase support.
For setup steps, see API and Webhooks.
Telling similar features apart
Basic Reporting and Advanced Reporting
- Basic Reporting is three summaries — Bookings Summary, Transactions Summary and Customers Summary. They are on every plan, and so is the Dashboard.
- Advanced Reporting is the rest of the report library — for example Receivers, Service and Team Bookings, Transaction Totals, Gross Profit, Payments, Refunds, Customer Credits, Non-Gateway Payments and Outstanding Balance. It is included from Growth.
On a plan without Advanced Reporting you still see the detailed reports in the library; opening one explains what it does and how to upgrade. Details: Reports overview.
Discount codes and Promotions
- Discount codes are on every plan. A customer types a code at checkout. See Discount codes.
- Promotions are on Growth and above. They are discounts and offers that ServEase applies to a booking by rule, rather than a code the customer types:
- special (circumstance) discounts, such as student or partner offers;
- multi-booking discounts;
- encouragement discounts for customers who did not finish a first booking;
- introductory offers for a customer's first booking (see Discounts and promotions).
Standard and advanced Service pricing
- Standard pricing — a fixed price for a Service — is on every plan.
- Tiered pricing (price bands) and Quotation pricing (a price you confirm after review) are on Growth and above.
See Service options and pricing models.
Calendar integrations and Accounting integrations
These are two separate features.
- Calendar integrations sync bookings with staff and customer calendars. They are on every plan.
- Accounting integrations connect an invoicing provider. They are on Growth and above.
Having one never depends on the other.
Service Vouchers
A Service Voucher is a voucher you issue to a customer. It lets an eligible booking be covered by the voucher instead of requiring the normal service payment. Issuing and managing Service Vouchers is part of Growth and above. See Service Vouchers.
Branding and email
- Standard system emails and templates are on every plan.
- Branding and customisation is on Growth and above: email branding (logo, colours and footer) and your own frontend theme for the booking experience. A dedicated sender address or domain is arranged with ServEase support and is not a self-service setting.
See Email branding and System emails.
Changing plans
You can change plan under Settings → My Subscription.
- Upgrades take effect immediately.
- Downgrading during a free trial also takes effect immediately.
- Downgrading a paid plan is previewed first and then scheduled. Before you confirm, ServEase shows what will change and the exact date the lower plan starts (the end of your current billing period). Until that date you keep your current plan and all of its features.
- Your settings and history are kept wherever it is safe to do so, and are there again if you move back up.
- What you have already agreed with customers is not rewritten: bookings keep the price they were made at, and Service Vouchers you have already issued stay redeemable for eligible bookings.
- Some things may need your attention: a published Service that uses Tiered or Quotation pricing must be resolved before a downgrade can be scheduled, and some integrations (accounting, Zapier, connected apps) may need to be reconnected or re-enabled after a later upgrade.
Downgrading in My Subscription
When you choose a lower plan, ServEase shows the impact first: what stops on the start date, what is kept, what may need to be set up again if you upgrade later, and any Services that need your action. If something needs action, open the Service, fix it, then choose Check again. Once you schedule the change, a Plan change scheduled notice shows the date, and you can choose Cancel plan change while it is still scheduled. This is separate from cancelling your subscription.
