Booking setup overview

How services, schedules, teams, and availability work together for bookable slots.

A bookable slot is the intersection of several layers.

The stack

Service (what) + Schedule (when) + Team/employee (who) + Location (where) + Rules (limits)

Minimum configuration

  1. Location with availability
  2. Team of employees with availability and assigned to the location
  3. Service with basic information — name, description, and price
  4. Schedule defining open times and duration

Customer journey

  1. Customer opens portal or widget.
  2. Picks service and slot from computed availability.
  3. Chooses receiver if required.
  4. Fulfils questionnaire if applicable.
  5. Pays (or pays later) per payment terms.
  6. Receives confirmation email.

Admin journey

  1. Open Calendar or Bookings.
  2. Create booking manually for phone/walk-in clients.
  3. Reschedule or cancel with policy rules applied.
