Encouragement discount emails

Automatic emails with discount codes after an unpaid first booking is cancelled.

When a customer's first booking for a service is auto-cancelled because payment was not completed, the system can send an email with a discount code to encourage them to try again.

Configure on a service

In the service wizard Offer step, expand Discounts and choose an Encouragement discount for unfinished first booking discount code. Leave the field empty to disable the feature for that service.

When a discount code is selected, you can also set Encouragement email delay (hours):

  • Default: 1 hour after auto-cancellation
  • 0: send the email immediately after the booking is auto-cancelled
  • Up to 168 hours (7 days): longer follow-up windows are supported

Leave the delay field empty to use the 1-hour default.

When the email sends

  • Only after the system auto-cancels an unpaid first booking for that service
  • After the configured delay (default 1 hour) from the auto-cancellation time
  • Not sent for manual staff cancellations or for customers who already completed a booking

Choosing a discount code

Use a code from Settings → Discounts → Discount codes. Helpful limits include first booking only and per-customer usage limit so the offer stays targeted.

See Discount codes for full limit options.
