Clearer subscription cancellation, workspace access separate from the sign-in account, invitations for people who already use ServEase, and plainer terms for ending a trial early.
This release makes subscription cancellation say what it actually does, separates workspace access from the ServEase sign-in account, and smooths out invitations for people who already use ServEase.
Cancelling your subscription
- Cancellation is scheduled for the end of your current billing period, never immediate. Settings → My Subscription asks you to confirm that before it goes ahead.
- Once scheduled, My Subscription shows a Cancels on date and states that you keep access until then.
- Resume subscription is offered only while the cancellation can still be undone. After the effective date it is no longer available.
- The subscription date shown to you is no longer labelled as a renewal date. That field only ever held the date a cancellation takes effect — the opposite of a renewal — so it now reads as what it is.
See Billing and pricing.
Workspace access and sign-in accounts
- Someone's ServEase sign-in account and their access to this workspace are now two separate things, shown separately.
- The users list has a new Access column and its own filter, so you can review or change who can use this workspace without touching anyone's sign-in account.
- Suspending access affects this workspace only. It does not affect the person's other workspaces or their ability to sign in to ServEase.
See Users and accounts.
Invitations for people who already use ServEase
- Inviting someone who already has a ServEase account gives them access to your workspace as soon as they accept — there is no separate flow to follow.
- An invitation link always opens the right step, even if the invitation changed after the email was sent.
See Employee detail.
Ending a trial early
- A trial can be ended early so the paid subscription starts straight away. Because the effect is immediate, the terms are now stated up front: paid billing starts immediately and your default payment method may be charged immediately for the first paid period.
- It counts as done only once that first payment has been collected. If the outcome cannot be confirmed straight away, it is reported as unconfirmed and reconciled — never as a failure that implies nothing was charged.
- After that, cancelling follows the normal scheduled-cancellation rules above.
What's new for administrators
- Scheduled cancellation, with a Cancels on date and access until then
- Resume subscription only while the cancellation is still reversible
- No more renewal-date label on a cancellation date
- Separate Access column and filter for workspace access
- Suspending workspace access without touching a sign-in account
- Smoother invitations for people who already use ServEase
- Clear terms before a trial is ended early
