General settings

Capabilities, localisation, booking defaults, and travel settings in Settings → General.

Settings → General controls workspace-wide defaults. There is no separate “business profile” editor in this tab today — company identity is set at signup and surfaced in portals through theme and email branding under System emails.

Capabilities

Choose which receiver types and location types your business uses:

  • Receiver types: Person, Car
  • Location types: Venue, On-site, Remote

Disabled types are hidden when creating receivers, locations, and services. See Receivers overview and Locations overview.

Frontend

Frontend theme key selects the visual preset for the customer portal and related customer-facing frontends (not email — see Email branding).

When your plan includes branding, open Frontend theme key and choose the key assigned to your tenant. Additional free community themes may be offered in the future.

Widget colours and layout are configured in the Widget creator (Theme section) — separate from this portal theme key.

Some workspaces have this field managed by ServEase (landlord-managed); it then shows as read-only.

Localization

Default language and time behaviour for the workspace:

LocalePrimary language for visitors who are not signed in (portal/widgets).
Fallback localeUsed only when the primary locale is missing a translation string.
Time zoneDefault wall clock for schedules and reports until a user sets a personal preference.

Admins, employees, and customers can override display timezone in their own account settings. See Locale, timezone, and currency.

Billing defaults

Default currency — system default for new services and money displays. Individual services or bookings may still use other currencies where supported. Payment settlement follows each payment gateway account.

Booking defaults

Workspace-wide booking behaviour for new services (services can override some values):

  • Customer cancellation cutoff (hours) — how long before start a customer may cancel online.
  • Customer / admin confirmation timeouts — how long pending bookings remain before expiring.
  • Paid booking confirmation — who must confirm paid bookings (auto, team leader, admin only).
  • Unconfirmed auto-cancel — when unpaid or unconfirmed bookings are cancelled automatically.
  • Booking terms URL — link shown when customers accept terms at checkout.

Customer cancellation refund policy

Defines default refund rules (destinations and time-based tiers) when a service does not override them. Used when customers cancel within the allowed window.

Travel defaults

Shown when On-site is enabled under Capabilities.

Average speed (km/h) estimates travel time between on-site appointments for availability. See On-site delivery.

Landlord-managed fields

Some workspaces have values enforced by ServEase operations (enterprise setups). Those fields show a “managed by landlord” badge and may be read-only.
